MT Fair 2012

What a night! {A letter to my boys}

Elijah, you had the time of your life at the MT Fair. It was your second fair experience and you enjoyed it SO much. Way more than last year! What more could a 2 year old boy want than being outside, seeing and petting lots of farm animals, checking out all the big trucks, eating hotdogs, drinking lemonade, riding on a few rides, seeing lots of lights and hearing all the music, and topping it off with a few bites of yummy cotton candy (which, unlike last year, you decided that you liked -- you are your Mama's son!!).  You were SO happy the whole night. You were on a sugar high and even stayed up late. We had a great night with Cousin Nathan, Auntie Jen, and Uncle Steve and Jakey. It is a joy to watch you get to spend time with your cousin Nathan and I think you two are going to be such close buddies before we know it. I loved watching you light up and giggle with joy as you discover things around you. You were afraid of the carousel at first, but once it got started you loved it! You smiled and laughed and asked for more as soon as it was over. You also loved the "choo choo". Daddy squeezed in to join you for the train ride and he said you smiled the whole time.

Luke, this was your first fair experience. And, you were a champ. You love the Ergo carrier and slept away. Mama held you for the first half and then Uncle Jakey held you for the second.  (He is such a proud uncle) You won't remember it, but you saw lots of animals and went on your very first fair ride-- the ferris wheel! We took you out of the carrier and you were wide awake and happy during the whole ferris wheel ride. It was so much fun.  I can't wait to continue taking you to the fair and watching you explore and love the experience more and more just like your big brother Eli.

We ended the night as a little family on the Ferris Wheel. What a beautiful ride. Sitting back watching the sunset and thinking about how blessed we are!. Daddy and I each held one of you and we snapped some sweet photos. What a fun, lovely evening spent making wonderful memories!
