Monday Update & Popsicles!!

We all know Elijah's love of ice cream... and he's had it multiple times over this hot summer. We decided this week to try out real fruit bar popsicles.......

And....the verdict is in: 

he LOVED it! :-) 

He wasn't sure at first, but after making a complete mess (mama shoulda removed the white pj's BEFORE letting E devour his popsicle), I think it was determined he enjoyed it! I bet the coldness on his teeth helped too! He has been chomping on everything-- including the leather chair in the living room, his crib rails (did I mention he pulled the padding off and got at the wood again?.... UGH!), his high chair, and anything else he can get in his mouth.

 Can u tell he liked it?

Today was a good day:

 daddy was back to school (mama forgot his 1st day of school picture- bummer!) 

He's also starting the application process for jobs.... a long, scary, and anxiety building process.

 Please pray for us during this time. We have a lot of decisions to make on where to apply to- we know where we want to go-but should we risk the chance of not getting a job by not applying to places we don't necessarily want to go to? Trusting God during this time.... 

Also, Libby came over for the day. She was afraid of Eli and wasn't too happy when he tried taking toys or playing with her, and when she got upset, so did E. They've known each other for a long time and spent a lot of time together... so I'm not sure why they were both on edge a little today. They'll learn to get along though. We're doing a kid swap for the school year so neither of them have to go to a day care anymore! It's more work for us mama's but money saved for both of us-- and thats a plus! :) 

Anyways... daddy's at his kickball game. little man is bed. and mama is spending some time veggin' on the couch for what's left of this evening. A Busy day tomorrow planned: meeting with Elijah's support specialist for more developmental testing in the morning, a walk planned with a friend, then watching Libby for the afternoon!
