The other day I found the hubs makin' a big bowl of pasta salad and homemade potato salad and asked what he was up to. To this, he answered, "I'm takin' you on a picnic!" :)
1st- we had to buy this:
Before Colin told me we needed to buy it he said "Babe, don't be mad. And, don't let this change your mind about wanting to go on our hike... but, we need to buy bear spray just in case."
My hubby knows me well. He knows my very strong fear of bears, especially because there have been bear attacks in the area! EEK! Luckily-- we were safe.
Glad we spent the freakin' 45 bucks on buying the spray (who knew it cost so stinkin' much!?)
No bears were witnessed on this picnic. :)
So... we planned an afternoon to Pattee Canyon just minutes away. We took our picnic dinner with us and enjoyed the time outside exploring around and practicing getting some pictures the camera. We got great ones of the little man (of course he was in the majority!) but I also played around taking pics of the flowers and scenery.
First of the pics:
The Little Man.
He's a stud- he knows it! :-)
Our picnic spot:
Complete with Colin's drink of choice- IPA
My dinner: Fried chicken and Colin's Potato Salad
YUMM!
A series of pictures:
Sweet E and the Pine Cones
Hilarious picture.
Needless to say, he wanted off the log Mama was making him sit on for the picture!
HAHA!
More feet pictures- they are just so chubby and so cute :)
Sadly, his sandals are too small,
so you can see the imprints they left on his feet after we took them off.
But...I just LOVE his toes. :)
Now... for some scenic pictures.
My second to favorite scenic shot of the day:
Humming bird moth in action.
Pretty cool!
My favorite scenic shot from today:
Gorgeous flowers!
A Silly Pic.
The only shot of me today--
Playing around with pictures in the car mirrors.
HA! :)
It was a great weekend with my favorite people.
Gosh, I just love them to pieces. <3
Daddy's back to work this week for his LAST week there.
Next week- School starts. The last year of this Law School Journey.
