Perfect Day for a Pumpkin Patch

Wow it's been busy week. And I finally got a little bit to sit and post an update on this here blog. First, Let's catch us up: Mama is back to work. After a week of hospital orientation I now have a few days off before officially starting in the NICU. It was rough leaving my boys this week but it went well. I'm pretty sure they didn't miss me at all and loved their time with Nana. I sure did miss them though!! It will be interesting transitioning to 12 hour shifts again-- and this time DAY shift. I'm so used to working nights. I know I'll miss my boys those long days but I am excited to get up on the unit and start working with the babies doing what I know I will love! Also this week- out of the blue- Lukey boy started skipping an entire feeding and is now REALLY sleeping through the night. It's happened 3 nights in a row and I'm thinking this may be our new norm (and I'm completely LOVING it!) Both boys go down around 8:30-9 and both boys sleep for about 12 glorious hours!!! Just Perfect! :-)

So, last weekend Oma & Opa took the whole fam to "Grandpa's Farm" Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maize. It was such a blast and great tradition we started. The little boys were busy and it will be so fun to add to the clan of grandkids... and it will only get even harder to get a good picture of all of them! ;-) We really did have a great time (young and old!) And we got so many pictures. Despite the cold weather, no naps, and skipping lunch both boys did well! Eli is loving pumpkins this year and even picked out his very own special pumpkin. We actually loved it so much we might go back once more before Halloween!

Here are the Boys wearing their matching shirts which read
"Daddy's Favorite Draft Pick"

Eli was LOVING the "big green tractor!"

E was too nervous to do the big slide alone--
but he loved doing it with dada!

E loved the pedal carts!!!
So much fun!

Everyone enjoyed the pedal carts- we all took turns!
Blake was thoroughly enjoying himself and I don't think he wanted to stop!

Oma Kisses for her boys!

Next we enjoyed the cow train!
So fun to watch Eli enjoying the ride so much in his very own Cow, Eliza!
Lukey wasn't too sure what to think but he enjoyed the bumpy ride on Oscar!

The Gerstner Gang at Grandpa's Farm.
You have to look closely to find E & LT!
I told Colin there's one more slot for another face--
guess that means we better have one more kiddo ;-)

Luke did so well the whole time- but for some reason during the moment we wanted pictures with Oma & Opa he decided to be a stinker and cried!

Love my hubby so very, very much.

The adorable little guys checkin' out the farm animals.

The rope web looked awesome but E wasn't too sure about it!

Uncle Jakey posing in the corn field!

Daddy enjoyed trying to rope- while showing off his cool belt buckle
Blake loved it and didn't want to stop! :)

Off to pick our pumpkins!

All 3 boys in the wagon!
So cute- can't wait to add more in the years to come :)

Adorable smiles from sweet little luke enjoying his first time at the pumpkin patch!!

Eli picked out his very own pumpkin.
He went with Oma and got so excited and proclaimed "Look Oma-  white!!"
Talk about super sweet and pulling at my heart strings.

My favorite family pic from the day

Just Love our little family!!!

Uncle Jakey loves his newphews!

More tractors: Eli couldn't get enough!

I ADORE these two little guys.
Such a blast and we can't wait till next time
