Well, after wishing Elijah would stay healthy this month, it appears his sweet little body just couldn't fight this last sickness. Poor fella started a slight cough on wednesday and then woke up Thursday covered in hives, had a high fever, and nasty cough. Where does he pick these things up?? I swear! He's gotten sicker this year than last year-- and he doesn't even go to day care this year! The pediatrician saw him and said it was just a virus causing all the hives and cough. But, It's hard seeing him so sick and for some reason he gets sick on the days Mama has to work. Between daddy skipping classes and Mama not sleeping as much for work, we were able to stay home wit him while he recovered. 4 days later he still has the hives but they are getting better with each day. His cough is still there, but hoping that leaves soon too. This morning while he was crying I also noticed he's trying to cut all 4 canines- oy vey!! One has cut through and 3 others are very close! Holy moly- could be a fun week. Poor boy just can't catch a break! Here are a couple photos- I have more that show it worse but didn't want to show the pics with his bum in it that I have!
On the other hand, we had SUCH a fun weekend with Grandma & Grandpa & Auntie Liz. What a treat it is to have them up here spoiling us and spending quality time with little E. We hung out and shopped. We also went out for a yummy steak dinner to celebrate Daddy's Birthday! Elijah wasn't quite 100% but he did great- hives and fever and all. We love visitors and really enjoyed our weekend with family!
We're going to try to get Elijah healthy and maybe have a yummy dinner tomorrow night to celebrate Dada! We are so thankful for him and how amazing he is to us! We're so blessed! He works so hard and we want to try to make his birthday special. :-)
