Checkin' in and Croup

There is always a lot I want to blog these days. There's always something new going on with Elijah to share or baby updates or just life lately. Finding the time and energy to actually sit and blog is the issue. Im writing this now as my 19 month old son literally climbs on me, kicks me in the belly, and forces his way to get as close to the computer as he can all while listening and dancing to music that I'm playing.  Me and E are hanging out this week just the two of us. We didn't have Libby come over because E was so sick and Mama finally took him to the doctor to confirm what I was pretty sure he had- the nasty croup. He's keeping his oxygen saturations up and not showing any respiratory distress so no need for more than just extra lovin, one on one time, reading books, pj's all day everyday, and lots of humidified air and warm baths. He seems to be in pretty good spirits, but that sad barking cough and gasping for breaths while crying and coughing will never be easy to listen to. We're finishing day 4 of the cough and hoping its nearing its end.

Sweet E. Hangin' with mama.
Snotty nose-coughing-but still silly boy.
(you can also see how long his hair is getting already!)

Before the nasty cold started, we had just finished a lovely but oh so quick trip this pas weekend to Chico Hot Springs- LOVE that place! We enjoyed a lovely time at a beautiful cabin, swimming in the hot springs pool, yummy dinner out, and much needed time with family. Happy 50th Mom Gerstner (Grandma!) We're so excited we could spend it with you. What a treasured time. Unfortunately I forgot my camera, bummer! So I don't have any pictures to share but it was definitely a sweet time had by all.

Daddy is busy busy with classes and clinic. He's also working on applying for the BAR- a more difficult task then one would think!  We often catch ourselves remembering that this is his LAST semester. That in just a few short months we'll be adding another sweet baby, and then moving to Billings to start a new chapter of our lives.

Speaking of that sweet baby. We got to see it last week. Sucking its hands and moving all around! I'm so longing to feel it move, any day now!We did another ultrasound to  make sure there was only one due to my size. Yep- just one cute babe swimming around in there. We have another ultrasound next week at our Midwife appointment and we'll get to announce the sex and name of this little bean in me. :) We're beyond excited and trying desperately to teach Eli to say the name- not sure it's going to happen though.  Cannot wait till next week~ I'll be sure to post an 18 week bumpdate with lots of details!!!

A pic of a pic is never great. But heres the little bean!
The head is to the left and its laying on its back.
You can see the prominent little nose- Just like Elijahs!
Also, its hand is close to the head, underneath the chin.
