You're 20 months now. Some of my favorite words to describe you are active, inquisitive, lovable, busy, silly, smart, sweet, kissable, stubborn, sensitive, and goofy. You sure know how to make your mama melt just at the right time. And of course, Dada is your best bud who can't get enough of you.
You love to explore and absolutely LOVE the outdoors. You go to the door and beg to go see the "oh" (snow). And you've learned a new fascination with "cah cah" (cars) We love that you love the outdoors but the worst thing about going OUTside is the coming INside. Insert drama fest meltdown each and every time we come inside.
You like to eat, but you can be picky here and there and we just have to remember that when you're hungry enough you'll eventually breakdown and eat! Still have only 12 teeth. I'm waiting for the dreaded day you decide to pop all 4 canines. And, you weigh around 26 pounds.
This past month you endured your first laceration which resulted in your first ER trip. You also suffered for a week with the nasty croup. Let's pray this month is healthier!
You try to be independent, but still need so much help. But, we're working on you walking while holding mama's hand from the car to the house and visa versa because the bigger mama gets with this babe inside, the harder it is to hold you.
We bought you a baby doll to try and teach you about baby and being gentle and loving. We learned you are getting a baby brother this past month and we think you'll love having such a close friend and buddy. You love signing baby and when we ask you where Baby Luke is you will kiss mama's belly. You sign baby every time you see one on TV or in the store. Being gentle with the baby doll is a different story. You prefer to body slam the baby onto dada, just like you do yourself when you and daddy are rough housing. Im glad we have 4 months to work on the whole "loving baby and being sweet" thing. You'll get the hang of it and I think you'll love baby Luke when he comes!
You're still obsessed with music, love to dance, and are such a joy as we watch you groove to the music.
We're really working on teaching you more words while playing and engaging you in everything we're doing. We know you'll catch on soon enough. We met with a speech therapist who gave us ideas on getting you to learn more words since you are showing some delay. You try to say words in your own ways and we just keep encouraging you.
Enjoying some time outside this morning.
The past two days we've been spoiled with some blue skies and sunshine,
even though it remained a little chilly.
We're VERY Anxious for spring around here!
Off to explore. He never stops once he's outside.
STUD
babbling away....
Happy as a clam!
Always loves seeing the "oh" (snow)
The worst part about going OUTside. Is the going INside.
And this is what it looks like.....
We Love you little man. xoxo
