"Rejoice with your family in this beautiful land of life!"
Tonight we enjoyed a fabulous family date night out on the town.
We enjoyed riding out bikes in the gorgeous weather to down town. Elijah still loves his bike seat and always has a little grin or content look on his face while we are riding. He often kicks his feet and squeals as we go. We went to the Missoula Carousel for the first time. Eli enjoyed it for the most part. The ride goes pretty fast, but he liked it for a couple rides! We then went and enjoyed a yummy dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant- El Cazador. Elijah REALLY surprised us. We knew this boy could eat-- but boy did he surpass our expectations! We bought a kids size chicken enchilada with beans and rice. (which turned out to be pretty big!) I was hoping he would have bites of each and not too much left over. Instead, this one year old boy put back the food like it was Nothing! He LOVED his mexican food- just like his parents. It was quite hilarious how fast he put it back and cleared his plate. After dinner we rode our bikes to the very popular little ice cream shop downtown- The Big Dipper. The ice cream was delicious-- and E proceeded to eat half of my Mexican Chocolate flavored ice cream cone! He sure does love to eat! :) When we got home we put him straight in the tub and he got to play around in the bath till we finally pulled him out. What a great day!! We even got to video chat with Oma and Opa. The little man sure was exhausted by the end. After we put him to bed the hubs and I enjoyed a large glass of red wine and watched The King's Speech.
What a lovely day! Evenings like tonight make me so thankful for my amazing little family, gorgeous summer sunshine, nights off of work, and sweet memories made.
Eli and I ready to go on the Carousel
Riding with daddy!
Yummy dinner- Both boys had Chicken Enchiladas, beans, and rice!
Elijah LOVED his food.
Notice the amount of food on his plate... quite a big helping for a ONE year old!
And look at his plate NOW...
WOWSA! This boy loved his dinner.
He polished off his kids menu dinner with ease!
And... still room for dessert :)
Happy and full boy!
He wouldn't even pose for a pic.. just goin' in for more! :)
Bwahahaha.... what a silly hungry boy!
Ready for a ride home!
BATH TIME!
I couldn't resist this adorable pics :)
He loves to stand on the edge and toss in all his toys while the tub fills up.
what a cutie!!
Silly smiles! :)
And...you can see all FOUR teeth with this one!
Elijah now pats his belly when we say..
"Eli, where's your belly!?"
Too Cute!
Now... next on the list is to teach him where his eyes and nose are!
Elijah still had some energy after the bath time...
Here he is playing in his big boy pj's...
he just looks SO grown up these days!
:-)
Always loves to play with Daddy--
his favorite thing to do is crawl over him...
over and over again!
I still LOVE this hair!!
And... it keeps getting more curly and longer :)
Well... It's time for bed for mama and dada.
Tomorrow is church and then we're off to Seeley Lake with our dear friends Jacque and Andrew and their little girl Libby. Can't wait for fun in the sun, boating on the lake, the 4th of July Parade, and fireworks on the lake! YAY!
(can't wait to share photos and stories from our time there!)
Happy 4th of July Weekend Everyone!!! :~)
