Colin was home from work today, due to it being MLK day. I was looking forward to spending the day together. Elijah has been a little under the weather suffering from a fairly high fever. But- miraculously- he's in a pretty good mood! Fever is being kept at bay today with Motrin and Tylenol. He's cute as ever in his little jammies playing away in his beloved exer saucer!
Tonight's agenda:
*Dinner: For Us- Homemade Chicken and Dumplings in the Crock pot (we're anxiously waiting for this as we speak- and it's starting to smell SO good!). Super easy- and not to mention- delicious! And we all know I'm not much of a cook! ;-)
For E- Avocados and Bananas! He's starting to get the hang of solids- but mostly just loves bananas! :) He'll tolerate sweet potatoes. Definitely won't even tolerate rice cereal. And tonight we're trying avocados for the first time- we'll see what he thinks. We've got pears to try this week after a few days of avocados. If anything- he's getting lots of food exposure and starting to put a lil' more IN his tummy and on for weight- not to mention- a little more OUT in the diaper ;-) ha!
*A movie: we've been blessed with the gift of Netflix and we're sure putting it to use! We've been watching a lot of movies and TV series while Colin's been on winter break! Love having him home (and not busy/unavailable in the office doing homework) in the evenings!
*Tub time, Bible stories, and singing! Always a good way to end the day with our little monkey!
This is Colin's last week of break before the new semester starts next monday...
Ready or Not... Back to reality!!
Here are a few pictures from our growing little man (almost 7 months-yikes!) before church yesterday. He like such a little stud and way too cute to not snap a few pictures ;-)
Good night from the 3 Gersts! Hope you have a great week! :~)
