LT~ 8 months

My oh my.... Another month has gone by!

You're already 8 months old, baby boy. And becoming less of a baby with each passing day. It's all so fun, yet makes me a little sad as you do something new that means you're growing up too fast!

This month has been a fun one!!

You learned to clap (YAY!) Seriously so,so cute. And we all cheer and clap along with you.

Super squirmy and hard to sit still anymore for a picture!
You just wanted to crawl away!

You can give kisses. The BEST open-mouthed kisses when we ask for them. (Quite possibly the sweetest thing you do. They Melt. My Heart!)

You got your first (major) cold- known as yucky RSV and your first ear infection. (Boo!) You liked the antibiotic though. Wasn't too much fun and you shared it with your brother too. But, you're both better now and back to your spunky self!

Love when I catch your gorgeous baby blues in the sunlight from the window.
Perfection!

Then you discovered the silly sticker Mama wanted you to wear.
And you refused to smile or cooperate-- you only wanted to eat it! :)

You also look really big and grown up in these pics?!!

I love when you do this with your lower lip. :-)

You can get into crawling position. Onto all fours and you rock. (But, not crawling... yet).

Dada declared this your fussiest time yet. Why you ask? Because you can't crawl and you want to SO bad. You get pretty frustrated and you let us hear it. You can do this little army crawl thing, and just yesterday you started the crawling motion-- you lifted one arm and moved one leg and then collapsed. You're only days away from really crawling-- Watch out!  You roll both ways all over. You pivot and scoot enough to still get around a little bit. We always find you on your belly now when we wake you up.

This crawling thing?
Tough work mama.

You tried pieces of toast, puffs and yogurt melts for the first time. Talk about determination. It's tough work getting those fine motor abilities to pick it up and get it to your mouth. But you had fun and liked the new textures... one step closer to big boy food.

Talking about food: You eat 3 times a day now. And, you get to try protein for the first time! Mama's got pureed turkey burger and lentils lined up for this month. I have a feeling-- you're going to love them! I think you love food more than milk. Mama's hoping you don't give that up too soon-- you've got a few months to go, Mr!

Eating puffs= Happy Boy.

Haan Cheeks.

Cutie. Kinda looks like a face Mama would make when I was little.

You graduated to your big boy car seat! You love it, however it is an adjustment not being able to let you sleep in your seat as we go running errands or shopping. You take a lot of catnaps now! You love sitting up more, and because you're still facing backwards, you can now see your brother perfectly. And the two of you talk to each other and love it! You also like riding like a big boy in the store carts!

You weigh 19.5-20 pounds. Your growth has slowed down a ton... even with all that eating you've been doing. Which is just crazy to me! And you're just around the 40-50 percentile now.

You're in size 3 diapers. And you wear 6-12 month size clothes.

You love to eat fruit slices in this net thingy! You sure did go to town on the pear slices!

I LOVE your giggles so much. You are smiley and chuckle quite a bit. Such fun! You still smile so much and actually like your picture taken. I swear I get my phone out and you smile on cue. But as I learned this month, getting you to sit still is the hard task now. You just try to crawl away or get to whatever your silly brother is doing.

Speaking of that brother. You adore him. He gets you so happy. Probably one of my very favorite things: watching Eli go in and wake you up. And seeing you just smile and get so excited when he says "good morning baby luuuuuuke!!" He gives you kisses and you try to grab his hair. Cutest thing ever, I tell ya! You want to watch him and try to keep up with him while playing-- just wait till you can actually crawl and get to him. Watch out world! He's sweet and does his best to share with you. It's easy now, because you're kind of easy to please. Soon enough you'll want the exact car he has and there is sure to be some fights. Can't wait :-)

Your brother distracting you while Mama was trying to take your 8 months pics!

Sharing Cars. You try to keep up with him- wait til you're really moving!

Well lukey. No matter how big you get-- you're still my baby boy. I love you so very, very much. It's so much fun to watch you changing so much each and every day. I may or may not be already starting to think of 1st birthday ideas!? AH!

We're so thankful for you and you bring us so much joy.

Love you to the moon and back.

Mama.
