Giving Thanks & Holiday Happiness

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We were honored to host our first big family Thanksgiving in our home. I believe we had 22 adults and 5 kids all here! Our house (and bellies!) were full after we enjoyed a yummy feast. Colin got to roast a turkey for the fist time and everyone brought delicious dishes to add to our buffet of amazing food. We had Elijah tell us something he was thankful for almost every day. On Thanksgiving day we asked him to list 5 things. Here they are. 1) My friends. 2) My puppy. 3) Mommy. 4) Daddy. 5) Baby Ike. When I questioned him about leaving Luke out of his top 5 things and if he was thankful for him. His response was hilariously, "no". Ha! Those two love each other dearly, but apparently not enough to make top 5! :) I know deep down inside he wouldn't know what to do without his pesky little 2 year old brother. In a similar lists he often listed his house, his girlfriends, and Nana. :) 
The weekend after Christmas was a wonderful time getting into the Holiday Spirit. Following our tradition, the day after Thanksgiving we decorated the house and enjoyed the Holiday Parade downtown with family. Saturday Daddy & Papa braved the freezing and blowing snow weather to put up our Christmas lights to get ready for Whoville! Sunday we went to Hallmark and let the boys pick out their Christmas ornaments. And Monday we went back to the Mall to visit SANTA!

Santa visit!

E was so excited, had a good conversation with Santa and asked him for Planes- Fire and Rescue movie.

Lt was excited to see him, wouldn't tell him what he wanted, didn't want to sit on his lap but smiled and then told him "Merry Christmas Santa"!!

Ike wasnt sure what to think but kept grabbing his beard and staring at him and never cried! 

We are officially in the thick of counting down the days till Christmas and loving all the Christmas music that is pretty much playing non stop at the house. The boys have already had a few candy canes, we've watched Elf & The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Isaac loves to get into the tree constantly and eat the lights and presents, and the big boys cannot wait to see what gifts they get.
