LT~ 6 months!

Lukey boy-
Already half a year old!? AH!! I hate how time flies! You're half way to being ONE and no longer just my little baby....

You weigh 18 pounds 12 ounces (63%)
28 inches long (93%)
Head is 82%.
You slowed down the weigh gain quite a it--
but grew a lot in length!!

A few silly faces.
I ADORE all of your smiles. <3

I can't explain exactly why, but i love this next picture.
Your fuzzy hair (that's trying to grow), your rosey cheecks, your lil' nose, or your perfectly chubby self.
Just too cute.

This is such a fun age, though! You are super sweet and super fun. You seriously are the BEST baby. Chill and relaxed and easy going! You smile SO much and its the best thing. You have a cute little giggle that is adorable! You are trying to talk more and more and get more expressive with your voice that you've found. We love your happy-go-lucky personality. And everyone thinks you're pretty dang cute! You're drooly and working on some teeth, I think. You chew on your hands and anything else you can manage to fit in your mouth. But, no bumps or signs of teeth actually cutting soon.

You love to eat (no surprise there- I feel like I'm repeating myself on this one) You sat in your big boy high chair for the first time this month and loved it. So far you've tried oatmeal, sweet potatoes, avocados, pears, apples, prunes, sweat peas, squash and bananas. You love them all but apples, i think they were just too tart. Once we mixed them with oatmeal, they are ok and you still ate them but didn't devour them like your usual. You still nurse or get a bottle about 5 times a day.

You sleep much better now- YAY! We got over that rough patch from last month of screaming it out.You now fall asleep totally on your own. And actually, mostly you prefer to just be laid down instead of rocked or bounced to sleep. When you're tired, you're tired and we better just lay you down quick or you get pretty mad. We lay you down with your paci and little taggie blanket that you love and thats it! You are still sleeping 12 hours a night. You still nap in the morning and in the afternoon (we just never know how long you'll sleep for. 1-3 hours).

As far as gross motor skills-- You are just a little stinker. We know you CAN roll from tummy to back, but you refuse to do it much. But, you hate your tummy time. You prefer your back. You haven't rolled from back to tummy, but will get to your side just fine, just can't make the flip. You amaze us with how you can scoot on your back all the way across a room and get yourself into crazy positions under a table, under the Christmas tree, or in between the couch and chair. It's pretty funny how well you back scoot. In your crib you do a 360 and we find you all over the crib now. But always still on your back, since you aren't rolling yet, just scooting around. You are officially sitting on your own though! It's SO cute. I love this stage! Not to mention, it's perfect for posing for adorable pics too ;-) Also, you discovered your feet and love them. You play with your toes and grab your feet in the air all the time, and have even managed to eat those toes a few times too!

You're wearing size 6 month, 6-9 month, and a few 9 month clothing. Just perfect for where you should be. And, we made the switch to size 3 diapers.

You have the rosiest chubby cheeks ever. They really get rosey when you're sick, which you were on your first Christmas. It was pretty sad how snotty and yucky you were feeling. But, you still smiled and Christmas was a blast, though!! It was so special to watch your brother go crazy over the presents-- and you just enjoy sitting under the tree with a candy cane to play with or some wrapping paper and bows to eat. :) What a sweet time- memories I'll never forget. You were spoiled, of course. You looked SO handsome in your dress shirt and tie for Christmas Eve service. And you rocked the christmas outfits and Santa hat on Christmas Day-- just like big brother did when he was your age. I had such a great time taking pictures and reminiscing. It feels like yesterday it was Eli sitting under the tree, but this year we had you. And we're so thankful for you, bug!

I did a very quick (it was cold!) photo shoot outside in the snow this weekend for your 6 month pics. You looked SO stinkin' cute in your outfit, boots, and hat. You weren't mad-- just very serious and wouldn't smile.
But I still love them anyways!

Happy 1/2 year, baby boy!!

Love you to the moon and back.
xoxo

love,
Your mama.
