Missoula Christmas

This year we spent Christmas here in Missoula. We were blessed to enjoy time as just a little family of three, as well as start our own traditions. We also got to spend Christmas Eve with our wonderful church family which we're so thankful to be a part of. We have loved getting to know many families in the church and they have truly become our Missoula family and some of our dearest friends. We spent Christmas Eve at our friends' house for dinner and games. Then we experienced our first All Souls Missoula Christmas Eve Midnight Service since living here in Missoula. It was amazing, one of the best services we've ever experienced. Sweet E was a champ. We were SO worried about how he'd do not going to bed at his normal 8:00 bed time and we just prayed he'd fall asleep for the church service. Well, Elijah surprised us and surpassed all expectations. He played great at our friends' house and stayed awake the entire night, was well behaved for the church service, and didn't fall asleep till we were on our way home at one a.m! I'm not sure how we got so lucky. He was great and we were so thankful! And a sleeping peaceful little man is the cutest sight ever. He was so passed out he slept through us changing him into his Christmas pj's and we enjoyed a few moments just watching him sleep and thanking God for this gift he is to us. We also took the opportunity to snap a couple precious pictures. Christmas day we all slept in and enjoyed a yummy french toast breakfast and we watched Elijah open his gifts. He took a bit to get the point, but loved ripping the paper and played with the paper more than his new toys! After gifts we enjoyed video chatting with our family back home and we can't wait to go home this coming weekend to celebrate with them! It was a quiet, simple christmas but we're thankful we were together for it. Mommy worked Christmas night, but was thankful for the day with her boys! :)

Here are some photos from our Missoula Christmas 2011.

Not the best pic, but here's his handsome outfit for Christmas Eve!

One of my favorite pics, it's just classic.
He wasn't crying so I thought he was smiling or just looking at the camera.
This is what I found when we were done! HAHA!

E loved the christmas lights!

Our attempt at a family christmas photo.
Not great, but it will do!

Sweet Sleeping Boy Photos ...
We couldn't resist. He was just so precious!

It's One AM and this boy is OUT.
He didn't move the entire time we changed him from his clothes to his pj's.

Christmas morning- French Toast for breakfast!!!

Time for gifts!! :-)

Pure Christmas Joy from our family to yours!

We are so blessed!
What a great little simple Christmas.
Love our little family!

And, We think...
He is the Best Gift Ever!!!
(Can't believe next year we'll have two little ones in cute pj's opening their gifts!)
