This year we have so much to be thankful for. We are always saying how blessed we are- and in light of the Holiday Season- Colin and I have been reflecting a lot on how far God has brought us. In 2009- we were married, moved to a new city, started Law School and a new job. In 2010 we welcomed the greatest joy into the world, our son. Lately, we've laughed together wondering what God will bring us in 2011! We are not only closer to each other, but closer to God more than ever. We have been blessed to become part of a new church family here in Missoula, and couldn't thank God enough for all he has given us through the All Souls Community. We've been able to get more involved and closer with many of the families. We know that without their help, prayers, support, and love we would not be where we are today. We're also closer as a husband and wife because of the greatest gift God has given us, our sweet Elijah. We're full of joy and love as we watch him grow and pray fervently that God will give us the grace to be the best parents possible for Elijah, to teach him His ways, and to help him grow up to be a man of God and live up to his name's meaning: 'The Lord is My God'. He's continually changing everyday and we're having so much fun witnessing the various developmental stages he's going through. Having a child has taught us how we want to be as husband and wife, how we want to be as parents, and as servants of God. Elijah is growing too fast (especially for his mom, who is already seeing other friends' newborns and saying how much I can't wait to have another baby!) :-) well as with human joys. - Psalms 128:
We were so excited to be able to go home for Thanksgiving this year and plan to be back for Christmas too! Family is something we are forever grateful for. Our parents show us how we hope to be as parents. Our siblings are our closest friends and we miss them all so much. For now, we enjoy any opportunities we get to go home or welcome any visitors here!
