There is a under-publicized problem in our great county: baby obesity. Everybody has heard of the rising rates of child obesity. Meanwhile, baby obesity has flown under the radar. While the American Academy of Pedriatrics recommends at least 60 minutes of activity a day for people under the age of 18, the majority of babies fail to even meet half the recommended amount. Babies, instead of exercising, simply lay around and eat. For Elijah, the simple act of turning over requires great exertion. And forget about walking, much less jogging or bicycling. The other day after coming home from work, I discovered Eli sitting inside playing video games, rather than playing outside with the other kids.
Maybe the parents are to blame. We act as enablers and allow our babies to rely on an unhealthy diet. Did you know over 98% of newborns fail to eat their recommended 5 daily servings of fruits and vegetables? Rather than enjoying a diverse and nutrious diet, most babies rely on fattening milk to provide their substinence.
What do you think? Any ideas on how to combat this disturbing trend? Please comment below.

I think the body parts he would best exercise at this point are his lungs and diaphragm. I suggest to him that he cry and scream as much as possible.
